His mom owned a cafe and his uncle owned a bar & grill in a small Montana town. Travis then met his wife, Alyssa, working at a bar & grill in Laramie, Wyoming. He was a bartender and she was a server, and they hit it off immediately. After the two graduated from the University of Wyoming, they moved to Peoria in 2000. She became a teacher and he went into sales and customer service. In 2008, Travis got back into the business a bit, moonlighting at a new pub in Peoria Heights called Sullivan’s Pub. Mike Sullivan (Sully) gave him the opportunity to work weekend nights behind the bar.
